Author Dedie King and Muralist / Illustrator Judith Inglese
collaborate on this series of marvelous children’s books
about different countries.
Judith Inglese is an artist who has been making a career
crafting large-scale ceramic murals for public spaces such as
libraries, hospitals and other municipal and institutional
buildings.
In her spare time she started making books as gifts for her
children and grandchildren. When she partnered up with Dedie
King, the I See the Sun in … series was born.
A day in the life
Each book in the series portrays one day from dawn until dusk as
seen through a child’s eyes. The stories are simple, yet reflect
both the diversity and similarity of children’s experiences
throughout the world.
The books are beautifully illustrated with warm, engaging
collages made from photographs, paper cut-outs and drawings.
One size fits all
Five books have been published so far, with more on the way. The
website has been setup to handle this growing amount of content
without slowing the site down or making the interface unwieldy.
